L.A. Noire Review

It's Rockstar's new change in gameplay. Instead of being the bad guy as in past Rockstar Games, you play as a part on the law, with the new fancy facial- recognition system. The game's mechanics are extremely revolutionary with new gameplay innovations. You play as Cole Phelps, a decorated war hero who becomes a police officer in 1940's LA. Now L.A. Noire's Los Angeles is the Los Angeles and the closest of a 1940's setting you can go to. You go around LA solving cases and such. The individual cases themselves are particularly simple but gets challenging when you progress. There's nothing to do much in this game except investigate, and it does not get repetitive, just frustrating when you fail something. The game itself is about 40 hours long, and I have yet to gotten to the 2 hour mark. I'm not going to spoil much of the game's story, as it is a very good one, and possibly the year's most dynamic.
What's really about this game is the facial recognition system. You see every wrinkle, every crow's feet, and can see everyone's reaction face when you interrogate someone. It is truly one of the standing points of L.A. Noire.

Overall this game is truly an innovation and a different approach from Rockstar's usual games but, it is possibly the best game right now on the market. Also, the Xbox 360 version is 3 disc so you will be disc swapping. The PS3 version comes on a single Blu- Ray disc though.
