L.A. Noire Review

It's Rockstar's new change in gameplay. Instead of being the bad guy as in past Rockstar Games, you play as a part on the law, with the new fancy facial- recognition system. The game's mechanics are extremely revolutionary with new gameplay innovations. You play as Cole Phelps, a decorated war hero who becomes a police officer in 1940's LA. Now L.A. Noire's Los Angeles is the Los Angeles and the closest of a 1940's setting you can go to. You go around LA solving cases and such. The individual cases themselves are particularly simple but gets challenging when you progress. There's nothing to do much in this game except investigate, and it does not get repetitive, just frustrating when you fail something. The game itself is about 40 hours long, and I have yet to gotten to the 2 hour mark. I'm not going to spoil much of the game's story, as it is a very good one, and possibly the year's most dynamic.
What's really about this game is the facial recognition system. You see every wrinkle, every crow's feet, and can see everyone's reaction face when you interrogate someone. It is truly one of the standing points of L.A. Noire.
left: see the guy's wrinkles?
Overall this game is truly an innovation and a different approach from Rockstar's usual games but, it is possibly the best game right now on the market. Also, the Xbox 360 version is 3 disc so you will be disc swapping. The PS3 version comes on a single Blu- Ray disc though.

CES Recap: What Was Notable, What Was Great, and What Was Wow

Last week was the CES 2011 Show in Vegas. Here are things most notable, and just plain great. Maybe...

1. Tablets
This year many Tablets and surprisingly, you don't think of ipad when looking at them. Motorola came out with the Xoom, which will use Android 3, so it's good.
2. Smartphones
Smartphones unveiled this year were well, smart. Most notable being the Sony Ericsson Xperia which is a slider, but it's like a HD camera and screen too.
Another one is the HTC Thunderbolt, which is great for people who want to see videos on the road, but it's somewhat big because of it's 4.3' inch screen.
HTC ThunderBolt from Verizon Wireless
3. Lady Gaga
Yep, somehow, she was there. Advertising for Polaroid, she shows the GL30 instant digital camera.

Great Gadget Photos: CES 2011

That's all for this year at CES 2011. For even more info, check out NBC bay area's website here http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/tech/CES-2011.html

Making Project P Official

So I had an experiment over the past week or so, and I found this to be quite fun, and entertaining. Playing games, and streaming online. So I'm announcing a Side Project dubbed "Project P". Not sure if I'm going to make this a regular thing, but it's pretty interactive and I find it entertaining, so I'll do it anyways. Now the quality isn't so great, but it's a start; I'm willing to improve the quality.

If I'm comfortable with it, might as well stream it, Welcome to Project P

Going insane, thinking of making a Project podcast webcomic

anyone? what its a great idea just look at Tycho and Gabe and various others (vgcats, roosterteeth, virtual shackles, etc.) they have been living some pretty successful lives too, plus i got some great ideas for t-shirts now i know we are a non profit organization (we're just a school club technically) and our prez may not exactly be on par with me but hey lets add a little flair to it and be comically successful on the net, just a thought heheheh.....

yeah i can draw but drawing facial expression, animations aren't exactly my forte so feel free to pop out any ideas you might have and go for it, who knows we might just be the next best thing.
